What Processes Change the Earths Surface?
Erosion:
Erosion can be caused by wind blowing dust and sand along the surface of the earth and it can also change the path of water.
Weathering:
Floods and rain can change the land by washing stuff around and causing land to subside. Tornado can change the land by blowing stuff away and tearing stuff out of the ground. Storms can damage landforms by causing landslides and flooding.

Landforms
This week in class we have been learning about landforms and erosions with Miss T. This is some of the work we have been doing
Landforms Pre-assessment
Landforms Pre-assessment
Attacking and defending
1. What I think good attackers do. They go for space and pass to the people that aren’t marked.
2. What I think good defenders do. They block and defend
3. What I think I did well and what I need to work on. I went for space and I need to work on communication
4. What I think the class did well and what we need to work on. We need to work on passing to people that aren’t marked and we were good at communication

My goals for the year
My goals for the year
Spelling
My spelling age is 15.5+
My goal for the year is to increase my vocabulary.
I will do this by:
- When I come across a word I don’t know the meaning of I look it up in the dictionary/thesaurus
- When writing I will use a thesaurus
Reading
My reading age is 14.5 and I scored above the NZ E-asTTle average.
My goal for reading is to be able to evaluate the author’s purpose and intent.
I will achieve this by:
- paying more attention to what I’m reading
- reading more at home
- questioning myself in my head about the book
Basic facts
My goal for this year is to get 100% under 4 minutes.
My first score was 99.
I will achieve this by:
- Practising
- Taking sheets home
- Timing myself
